Located in Toppenish, Washington the Yakama Indian Reservation is comprised of 1,371,918 acres.  The reservation covers 1,573 square miles in the south-central Washington counties of Klickitat and Yakima. The Yakama Indian Reservation has 8,870 members.  Formerly known to many as the “Yakima” Nation, the current spelling of "Yakama" was reintroduced by the tribe to return to the original spelling.
