The oldest
continuous residents of Colorado are the Ute Indians. The Southern Ute
Reservation is located in La Plata and Archuleta counties in Colorado
and consists of 307,100 acres with a tribal enrollment of 1305. The
tribal headquarters of the reservation are located in Ignacio, 24 miles
southeast of Durango. |
