Metlakatla is the sole community located on the Annette Island, a federally recognized Indian Reserve, 630 miles north of Seattle and 20 miles south of Ketchikan. The tribal enrollment of Metlakatla is 1,983 of North American Indian ethnicity, most of those associated with the Tsimshian Tribe.
